In the fall of 2023, we have scheduled four Bioinformatics workshops.The first workshop will take place on Monday, September 11th, from 13:30 to 15:30 in room 201 at Læknagarði.
Introduction to the Bioinformatics Service at the BMC:
Elvar Örn Jónsson and specialists from the University IT service will present the Bioinformatic cluster Elja/Mimir and discuss the possibilities available when using these high-performance computer clusters.Snævar Sigurðsson, a research scientist and the Bioinformatic Core Facility Manager at the BMC, will introduce the bioinformatic service and explore potential topics for upcoming workshops that users might be interested in.
Users are encouraged to bring their own problems and ask questions. A short presentation of 1-2 slides detailing your project and your bioinformatics needs is encouraged. If you wish to present your project please send us one paragraph/title description for the project to snaevar@hi.is We will provide coffee and snacks and will also stream the meeting on Teams (those on Teams will need to bring their own snacks 😉). Registration is voluntary but appreciated to help us estimate the amount of snacks to purchase.
